Grooming Women in Leadership
The tech industry has been dominated mostly by the male gender because most women are overlooked when organizations are considering promotion into managerial positions. The above scenario led to the need to help women who are just entering the workforce and top executives to build their network and grow professionally. It is to this effect that Virtue Oboro, an award-winning innovator and CEO of Tiny Hearts Technology will be discussing with other women on how they can leverage on the vast opportunities in the technological industry, grow and become successful leaders in their chosen fields at the upcoming event- Women SME Fair. She is one of the most sought-after persons in the health sector due to her extra ordinary results, she worked tirelessly with her medical team to invent the Crib A’glow unit which is a phototherapy device for the treatment of jaundice in young patients, this invention birthed Tiny Hearts Technology, a health tech company that sells, distributes and hires Crib A’glow units to health organizations in Nigeria with the goal of reaching out to the entire globe. In 2018, She became a fellow of the Ashoka CXC which took her entrepreneurial journey to another level when the Yellow Alert project (sensitizing health workers and mothers on child care) was birthed.
She has won many awards due to her proven capacity to solve many health challenges, few of such awards include The Johnson & Johnson innovation Challenge, 2019, Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Award, 2019, United Nations Association of Nigeria- Outstanding Woman in Healthcare Award etc. She has a great passion for mentoring business starters, thriving business owners and women in managerial positions in the tech industry.
